Cremona is ready for the only International Dairy Show of the European Scenario

The only International Dairy Cattle Show in Europe is scheduled for November 26 to 28 in Cremona, during Cremona International Livestock Exhibitions.

With the cancellation of SwissExpo and its competition, Cremona is the only European reference point for dairy cattle taking place in the last two years, with 400 heads of cattle from 70 livestock farms registered in the Livestock Show.

Cremona, October 21 – Cremona is the bastion of European livestock: not only as a slogan, not only as a tradition, but as true reality since the sole international livestock event for dairy cattle in Europe will take place in Cremona.

“The international exhibition calendar has undergone major changes and cancellations. In the current scenario, Cremona is the only international appointment in which the best national and international genetic selection can compete. The role that CremonaFiere has been playing for the livestock sector in this period of great difficulty is very clear – explained Massimo De Bellis, general manager of CremonaFiere – not only in finding new ways to be at breeders’ side in 2020, but also in relaunching a new format for 2021 and in confirming itself as the only international Livestock Show taking place at European level.

Furthermore, the Cremonese event will be the only one in Europe in 2021 to present, along with the Livestock Show, also an International Dairy Auction. For this reason, next edition is very much awaited. So, the appointment is set for Friday 26 to Sunday 28 November, 2021.

So far, more than 400 heads of cattle from 70 livestock farms both from Italy and from abroad are registered to the international Livestock Show and will be judged by the Canadian expert judge Callum McKinven.

Auctioneer of the International Dairy Auction will be the Irish Glyn Lucas, who will direct a new and innovative format of auction sale, with an eye on charity.

CremonaFiere has restarted its exhibition calendar on September, with national and international events turning out to be very successful for professionals – said Roberto Biloni, president of CremonaFiere -. We do believe that in this moment it is necessary to work hard to relaunch the sectors that we represent. For this reason, we have conceived a new format of Cremona International Livestock Exhibitions to offer an international Exhibition that can involve and enhance the whole production chain. The cooperation with local and national institution is fundamental, as well as that with breeders that consider CremonaFiere the ideal and natural location to be represented at international level”.

Internationalization is one of the supporting pillars of Cremona International Livestock Exhibitions, also thanks to the internationalization program developed by CremonaFiere together with ITA – Italian Trade Agency and Regione Lombardia, that will involve delegations of buyers coming from 15 Countries.
